Eat and Ron: Isla in Staten Island, New York

Chef Ron Bilaro checks out Isla Restaurant. His first try is fresh lumpia made with fresh sauce which is primarily made with soy sauce, sugar, chicken stock and cornstarch. Second bite is sizzling squid with bell peppers. Isla also serves isaw (street food – intestine) on a skewer with a dipping sauce. Lechon Cebuano and crispy pata round out the menu tasting. For dessert, it’s ube halaya! Masarap!
